The Battle Is Fought, But The War Goes On

Aside

On the June 13, the approaching forces gathered at our borders. Despite panicked attempts to call for peace, the opposing leader gave no sign of relenting.

The Czar scrambled to build a sizable army to fight back.

On June 27, the opposing forces broke into our territory.

It was clear then;

This will be war.

And there is no turning back.

I Need A Mug

Aside

Yep, you heard me right. I need a mug.

Not just a simple mug though. What I need is a big mug. A huge mug. A GIGANORMOUS mug. One the size of my head.

You see, the problem I currently have with my mug is that it’s just too small.

I mean, seriously. I spend most of my time at my desk where I do all my written assignments and stuff on my laptop. And I’ll always have my mug by my side to rehydrate me whenever necessary. There is only one problem — I need to refill it all the time!

I guess I am partly to blame. I have this weird habit when it comes to drinking. Whenever I drink, I don’t ever sip; I gulp. There is this weird voice in my head that compels me to finish the entire cup of water at once. Or die. And the water in my mug just disappears like the cash in my wallet.

Yes, it is that serious.

Anyway, it just struck me suddenly — wouldn’t it be great to have this giant bottomless mug? Never again will you need to journey all the way to the kitchen and back for just for a drink.

Just think about it. Your life would be so much easier. You’ll never need to leave the comfort of your desk; all you have to do is sit and sip.

Needless to say, this will be the ultimate tool for the couch potato (aside from the self-refilling packet of chips, that is. Nothing beats the self-refilling packet of chips).

In fact, I truly believe there is a large market for such mugs. Someone really needs to start making mugs like these. Maybe some can even be flavored! (An endless supply of apple martini, yum!)

Ah yes, that is what life should be like.

It really is too bad that the only place this mug can exist in is my imagination. And you know what? It really did. This entire post is actually inspired by a dream I had last night. Man, I really have an endless source of useless things to blog about, don’t I?

But honestly, don’t you ever wish you had a giganormous bottomless mug?

Eat My Lightsaber!

Aside

Dear Diary,

Today, I killed a man. I couldn’t help it… he kept coming at me… I told him to stop, but he wouldn’t listen. He just wouldn’t…even after I stabbed him continuously with MY LIGHT-SABER!

Just kidding.

Honestly, I would never kill another person. I mean, come on. A self righteous and totally decent person like me cannot bear the thought of even harming a teddy bear! How could I possibly hurt another person?

It does not stop someone else from killing me though. And who else but the infamous and ruthless criminal syndicate that is the Mathematics Department would do so?

Hell, they did not just do me in; the entire cohort was slaughtered en masse. It was a mass genocide with more than two-thirds the student population dropping like flies in a battle between two insecticide brands.

In simpler terms, I failed my Math paper along with two-thirds of my cohort. We even have banding lectures for Math, and lo and behold, I’m in the “lower band”.

But fear not; I won’t be disheartened. Quite the contrary, actually, for I am infuriated and enraged and maddened and provoked and… you get the point.

Yea, I am so angry I’ll even spear the Maths Department with MY LIGHT-SABER!

No, but seriously, it is now personal. Mark my words, for I will be back. With a vengeance.

Yes I know I will end up thanking the Maths Department for this when I finally do sit for my GCE A’ Levels examinations, but just for now, I am going to hate the department with a passion.

After all, I need an outlet for my sky high stress levels to maintain my sanity.

And if I really do go mad … well…

*BZZZZZZ*

(or whatever sounds light-sabers make)

Okay, So This Is What I’ll Do…

Aside

With this mysterious one month MIA status I’ve acquired, I realized something.

I need to write.

And I’m not joking. I’m really much happier when I spend at least some of my day posting stuff here. Perhaps self expression is really an essential part of life for me.

So, what do you know — I’m back (Cues the “applause” track)!

Now, time for some plans. My exams have just but ended and already a second, more major one is bearing down on me. Time is something I really do not have, meaning now it will probably be much tougher for me to keep writing.

But fear not, for I have cooked up a highly ingenious plan, if I may say so myself.

What I’ll do is just post regular “journal style” entries of my life. Sure, it’ll probably be boring, but it helps me, and that’s all that matters, at least just this once.

I’ll still post regular “articles” on my take on certain issues/happenings though, just that they will be less frequent.

(Okay, I’ll admit it; that’s nothing ingenious. But you know what? Suck on that!)

Alright, alright, enough fun here. I’ll start this little “journal” project tomorrow. And to separate these personal updates from normal posts, they will only be viewable though the sidebar on my main page.

Gosh do I like the customization options on this theme.

Alright then! Goodbye!
